Comm suggestions?
« on: June 25, 2015, 04:22:33 PM »
Yo,

So I'm building out my kit for when I step back into the world of RealSim games. I've never had a radio for game-use, but I will be purchasing one for this year. I was wondering if perhaps any RTO aficionados out there might be able to suggest a good brand/setup for lil' ole' me? Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Please, no PRC-119s. xD

I recommend a Baofeng UV-5R.  You can get one for around $30.00 on ebay or amazon and they are fully programmable.
I would also buy a Kenwood 2-pin hand mic with privacy port for an earpiece then you have push to talk and can hear everything that is going on.

Thanks! :D I'll look into that set.
