Michigan Commerce - Airsoft Guns Allowed / WTS/WTT KWA MP7 Package for MP5
« on: December 05, 2018, 03:37:04 AM »
I'm looking to sell my KWA MP7 that comes with 3 working magazines and a CQB bolt. The gun works great, only used a few times by me, but it was owned by a friend before that.

There are a few minor external issues: the stock doesn’t stay extended while firing, the plastic bit at the front is loose, the trigger guard is broken, and there is a crack on the right rear side of the receiver that has been glued or puttied.

Other than that the gun runs great. I’d like $300 or a trade for an MP5. I’m looking for either a regular MP5 or an MP5SD with a retractable stock, ideally with a few midcaps. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have and also willing to negotiate price! Thanks everyone!

Event Planning / Re: Milsim West: Assault on Volgograd

Fair enough. I didn't know it was that in depth. It'll save me some money anyway going Multicam, considering I need to buy a bunch of other stuff.

Is there room to jump in with you guys? I can get a MARPAT set if the roster isn't full. My initial plan was to wear Mulitcam but if there's room for one more it would be cool to go with some people from Michigan instead of a rando squad.

Is anyone else interested in going? I'm not passing up this one with it being held at MUTC. I'll be rolling as NATO for this one if anyone wants to form a squad.

Airsoft Discussion / Considering getting into the not-M4 game
« on: December 25, 2015, 12:41:06 AM »
On top of loving airsoft, I love guns (as I'm sure we all do). Because of this I've always pondered getting another AEG that's not a run-of-the-mill M4. I still love my M4, but I'm considering getting something to complement it. My top choices are an AK and a G3.

These two AKs jumped out at me, and I've tended to hear good things about CYMA AKs. Also, these are probably the easiest to find midcaps for.

I think G3s, well... 7.62 battle rifles in general actually... are gorgeous, and I've had an M14 so if I go the battle rifle route, this is the style I'm thinking. Not sure on the quality of JG though.

I've heard reviews on all of them, and like most guns I've researched, I get mixed results. Do you have experience with any of the guns, or even the platforms that someone who is used to M4s should know? Are there any other non-M4 platforms you guys like? Just wondering your opinions on the subject. Merry Christmas everyone!

Recruitment / Looking for any Mount Pleasant area players
« on: December 08, 2015, 11:51:10 PM »
Hello friends!

I'm a student at Central who's just wondering what kind of activity is around here for airsoft. I have my guns stored with the campus PD so it's just a matter of checking them out and hitting the road. Looking for any and all players willing to sling plastic on the weekend, hope to hear from you!

A bit of info on me:
Age - 19
Uniforms - M81 woodland, Multicam
Guns - M4 AEG, Glock 19 GBB
Preferred play style: Milsim, but I'll take any airsoft I can get

Thanks guys!

Despite the heat, bugs, and issues that stemmed from this being a relatively new field open for airsoft, I had a great time. Thanks to Snarf for taking the time to help me with my gun, and to Abbot and the Combat Junkies for making the event happen and making it run as smoothly as a first time event can go.

That said, there were some hit-calling issues but none too rampant. There was some stretching of the rules, shooting burst with rifles and so on, and I think the spawns were a weak point. When you go back on the field and can just shoot the opposite team in the back, it makes you feel like a bit of an a-hole. Part of that has to do with the way the field is set-up, but it still was a bit of an issue.

Despite all of this, I had a blast playing and meeting some new people, as well as trolling Abbot over the radio with Puggy toward the end. What does the fox say? OVER!

If it comes down to the last minute, I can help you the day of the game. I'll bring an extra nub and bucking, and I'll be there at 10:00. Luckily hop up issues are way faster to fix than gearbox ones (though I will be bringing my toolbox just in case, since I don't have a back up AEG).
I'll bring it out in case there's some down time but my friend said I can borrow his gun if need be.

Also, to Zzan, I don't think I damaged anything, since I re-tore the gun down (just into the upper, lower, and hop-up). I'm a fish out of water when it comes to internals of airsoft guns unfortunately.

I dug myself into a hole on this one. I thought myself savvy enough to install a TBB on my gun. I decided it could wait, it wasn't a big deal. Once I had the gun back together, I found a tiny piece on my floor, and when I went to shoot my M4 to make sure I hadn't messed it up, the bbs just fell out of the barrel. I later learned that little piece is the hop up nub. I don't trust myself to take apart the hop up myself and risk screwing it up even more, so if anyone would be willing to save my behind on this I'd be super grateful. If you're going to OP Trident at TC Paintball on Saturday, even better. I don't care about distance or cost with this. I'll drive it out to you and pay you for your troubles. I may not need it if my friend answers his phone, but if you're willing to help me out with this, please PM me!

Aaaaand prepaid. I'm excited for this one, I'm interested in how playing as a civilian will be.

My contribution: Finally got my FMG4 set up how I like it, and I'm a big fan of magnifiers now. Now it just needs a new hop-up and for me to install the TBB I got.
EDIT: Sorry about the tiny picture, I need to get Photobucket or something so I can post actual decent sized pictures.

PM'ed about magnifier!

I'll prepay once I talk to my friend to see if he wants to come, but throw me on the tan team. Not sure if I'll be a civilian or CAG yet.

EDIT: Both Reaper and I will be in the Resistance. Prepayments will be sent soon.

I'm super excited for Battlefront after seeing the actual gameplay, and The Division (even after the standard Ubisoft downgrade), and Ghost Recon Wildlands look amazing. The whole concept of open world, squad based shooters with RPG elements sounds really appealing to me, especially after seeing hours of Arma 3 gameplay on Youtube.

Reaper and I will probably make the drive out to this for the first day. Gotta get in some bbwarz before he ships out.
